I have been working on this album for almost two years, since October 2013 and at first it was meant to be a concept album surrounding nuclear war and the preceding post-apocalyptic world. The more time I spent listening to it and mixing it, the more I realized how much of myself I put into it, there is nothing on here that could be considered confessional in the sense of a singer-songwriter album but I hear different parts of myself in each of these tracks, "In Mourning" sounds like the epitome of my depression, If there was a microphone in my brain while I was depressed that is what it would sound like and each of these songs has a similar tangible sense to me. I have not betrayed the idea of a post-apocalyptic record because it plays a very strong role but rather I think it is a mixture of that theme and how it can be parallel to my life at certain points.

If you have made it past that embarrassing paragraph of emotional fragility and are reading this, thank you.

Special Thanks to my friends and family

Track Name: Intro
We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says, "Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." I suppose we all thought that...

Track Name: In Mourning
The sight that greeted our eyes was...quite...beyond what we had expected because we saw this cloud of boiling dust and debris...

To always be used for good and never for evil...cut...
Track Name: The Sun Rises From Ashes
Be near me when my light is low,
When the blood creeps, and the nerves prick
And tingle; and the heart is sick,
And all the wheels of Being slow.

Be near me when the sensuous frame
Is rack'd with pangs that conquer trust;
And Time, a maniac scattering dust,
And Life, a Fury slinging flame.

Be near me when my faith is dry,
And men the flies of latter spring,
That lay their eggs, and sting and sing
And weave their petty cells and die.

Be near me when I fade away,
To point the term of human strife,
And on the low dark verge of life
The twilight of eternal day.

-Lord Alfred Tennyson
